Summer Movie Series

The Redmond Youth Partnership Advisory Committee continues it summer movie series this year with movies every week beginning July 9 right after the evening Derby Days event at City Hall.  The movies will start at dusk and will alternate between City Hall and Idylwood Beach. 

So bring the blankets, cook up the popcorn and make sure you have enough licorice to enjoy a movie outdoors with all of your friends and family. 

Moving on Up!
Finally I get to go to high school!  Oh NO, what will the seniors do to me?  What if I get lost going to my class and get to class late?  What if I can’t get my locker open?  Who will I ask to homecoming?

Community Scholarship Awards
Do you do community service?  Have you done between 50-150 hours in the past year?  Are you a senior that goes to school in Redmond? 

Then you may have an opportunity to win a scholarship up to $1500 for school.  The American Legion Post 161, Faith Lutheran Church and a private donor have stepped up to acknowledge teens who have gained insight in the value of giving back to their community.  They awarded $6000 last year and have also done that this year to four graduating seniors.
