The second phase of the Redmond Code Rewrite is well underway and the Code Rewrite Commission seeks your input!This project began in 2009 as an effort to rewrite the City's zoning code (Redmond Community Development Guide) and will continue through adoption of a new code in spring 2011. The Code Rewrite Commission reviews each new section of code at weekly public meetings on Monday nights at 6pm in the Council Chambers.

Viewpoint Neighborhood Proposed Plan Update & Name Change
Residents of the current Viewpoint
neighborhood participated in a plan update from 2007 to 2010. During
the neighborhood planning process,
residents supported changing the
neighborhood name to Idylwood to
foster neighborhood recognition along
with the neighborhood’s relationship
to Idylwood Beach Park. Full Article
Bear Creek Neighborhood Plan Update
This summer the Bear Creek Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) is completing its recommendations for updating the Bear Creek Neighborhood Plan. Thanks to all who have participated by completing surveys, attending open houses, attending CAC meetings and providing input in other ways! Full Article
Redmond’s Neighborhood Network
Redmond’s Planning Department plans to hold two Neighborhood Network pilot meetings in 2010. Approximately twenty neighborhood citizens attended the first pilot meeting in the Grass Lawn neighborhood on May 13th. The second pilot meeting is planned for the Education Hill neighborhood in the fall. Full Article
Overlake Area Single-Family Neighborhood Plan Update
The neighborhood planning process for the single-family area of the Overlake neighborhood commenced in 2007. Residents of this area provided feedback regarding the proposed neighborhood plan during January 2010. Full Article
